St Mary, Birchanger<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

BIRCHANGER, a parish in the hundred of UTTLESFORD, county of ESSEX, 1\u00bd mile (S. W. by S.) from Stansted-Mountfitchet, containing 336 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king’s books at \u00a39. 13. 4., and in the patronage of the Warden and Fellows of New College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
