The living is a rectory, in the jurisdiction of the Commissary of Essex and Herts, concurrently with the Consistorial Court of the Bishop of London, rated in the king&#8217;s books at \u00a316 10 7\u00bd and in the patronage of the Hon WTLP Wellesley.<br \/>\nSamuel Lewis <i>A Topographical Dictionary of England\u00a0<\/i>(1831)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>DP 184-1-1 image 1<br \/>\n<em>There is no registry of burials from 1645 to 1657. The reason given that some clergyman did not make any entries<\/em><br \/>\nimage 20 (baptisms)<br \/>\n<em>register not kept for about 14 or 15 years all the time on Mr Jeremiah Dikes being here.
