St Margaret, Wicken Bonhunt

WICKEN-BONANT, a parish in the hundred ofUTTLESFORD, county of ESSEX, 4 miles (SW by S) from Saffron-Walden, containing 122 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Commissary of Essex and Herts, concurrently with the Consistorial Court of the Bishop of London, rated in the king’s books at £11. A. George, Esq was patron in 1814.  The church is dedicated to St. Margaret.
