WORMINGFORD, a parish in the Colchester division of the hundred of LEXDEN, county of ESSEX, 3¾ miles (WSW) from Nayland, containing 453 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king’s books at £7 13 4, and in the patronage of John J Tufnel, Esq. The church is dedicated to St Andrew. The navigable river Stour bounds the parish, on the north.
